The success of Pelikan's Genesis of the Olympiad pen led them to turn again in 2001, to Greece for inspiration - this time to its mythology with the story of Daedalus and Icarus.
Humankind's age-old dream of being able to fly is the central theme of the Daedalus and Icarus Myth. The fountain pen was made in a transparent delicate light blue color, symbolizing the skies into which the father and son escaped from Crete. The figure of Icarus is made of silver, and 800 pieces were made to honor the 8th Century B.C. when Homer first referred to this saga.
This Pelikan Daedalus and Icarus Fountain Pen has not been used and is in mint/perfect condition. It comes complete with the display box in the shape of a book, the outer sleeve, and booklet.
