AP Limited Editions pays tribute to the great Benzaiten, one of the 7 Gods of luck in Japanese Buddhism. She is also called Benten and is the patron Goddess of music, literature and of wealth. She is seen here playing a Biwa, a type of stringed Japanese instrument and accompanied by her attendant playing a flute.

Every turn of this superbly crafted Shishiai Maki-e feature is a delight to the senses: from the unique color palette to the fine details of gradations of different colored Gold, Silver, Platinum, powders and accents of different colored shells. This fountain pen was crafted by Isshu Tamura who is one of the most respected maki-e shi in all of Japan.
