Company Overview

Corporate Highlights

Airline International’s current repair operation has become one of the largest in the industry as their reputation has been built on quality, affordability, and guaranteed satisfaction. The business grew from a garage operation to a 1,500 sq. ft. location, then to 3,000 sq. ft., all within the first year of business. By the end of 1979 Airline International moved into a new 12,000 sq. ft. facility to accommodate the new retail segments of their business. In 1979, Jerry Kallman, now the firm’s President, joined Airline International to facilitate its growth into the expansion of retail and the mail order business.

By 1983, they produced and distributed their first luggage and gifts catalog. The following year the company joined the National Luggage Dealers Associates, Inc. (NLDA) in order to more fully participate in the professional activities of the trade. Jerry Kallman serves on the Board of Directors and Executive Committee for the NLDA and has served on both the Small Leather Goods and Luggage Committees for this Association. More recently he served as chairman of the Luggage and Business Committee. Jerry is also a proud two-time past president of NLDA, and currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Travel Goods Association. He formerly served on the Advisory Board of Travelware Magazine, a luggage and leather trade publication for the industry. As president of Airline International, Jerry Kallman was the winner of the Better Business Bureau Torch Award in 1999 for Marketplace Ethics.

In May of 1984, the "El Paso Chamber of Commerce" awarded Edward Kallman, Airline International’s Chairman and CEO, the Small Business Person of the Year Award. In May of 1985, Airline International also received the U.S. Small Business Award for the El Paso District. Edward was an active member of the Young Presidents Organization (YPO) in the El Paso/Juarez District.

In April of 1989, on the corner of the city of El Paso’s third busiest intersection, Montana and Hawkins, the company opened a new 30,000 sq. ft. facility. This location houses the distribution center, corporate offices, telemarketing division, repair center, retail showroom, factory outlet and now the Internet-marketing division.

Throughout the company’s growth and development, one philosophy has always remained a constant. The belief that there is no compromise for good quality, prompt service, and competitive prices. Airline International will always be committed to ensure the happiness of all their customers. Welcome to Airline International.
