At the heart of this Pelikan Special Edition is Grundfarben, a 1899 poster created by Tippel for Pelikan’s first poster competition. The artwork depicts the pelican as a caring parent, symbolizing devotion, responsibility, and trust—values that continue to define Pelikan today.

This historic design is brought to life on the fountain pen through an elegant reinterpretation of the poster’s flowing cloud formations, which appear as a shimmering, abstract pattern across the decorative sleeve. Warm brown translucent resin accents beautifully blend Pelikan’s artistic heritage with modern craftsmanship.

Produced using Pelikan’s advanced Aurora process, the barrel features finely engraved guilloché patterns beneath multiple layers of lacquer, creating exceptional depth and brilliance.

The Pelikan Souverän® M600 Special Edition features a premium piston-filling mechanism, a two-tone 14-karat gold nib, and 24-karat gold-plated trim, including Pelikan’s signature beak clip and decorative rings.

Each pen is presented in a book-style gift box and includes a miniature reproduction of Tippel’s original 1899 poster.
