An intensely symbolic mythological figure in oriental as well as in western culture, the Dragon appealed to Montegrappa so much that in 1995 it dedicated a special limited edition to it.
On the occasion of its tenth anniversary and in the same year as the launch of the Eternal Bird Limited Edition - the phoenix symbol of the Chinese empress and traditional companion of the dragon, symbol of the emperor - Montegrappa has created a special edition of the Dragon limited to a very small number of examples. This is a most precious jewel which Montegrappa is pleased to dedicate to its very sophisticated collectors.
The Sculpture, created entirely by the hand of the artist who also brought to life the sculpture of the Eternal Bird, is reproduced on the body of the pen by means of the refined jewellery technique of die-casting.
The Dragon Special 10 Years Anniversary Edition is offered only as a fountain pen in 18K gold: 10 examples in yellow gold with white diamond pave and 10 examples in rose gold with black diamond pave. Each pen is decorated also by four natural rubies which represent the eyes of the dragon both on the barrel and on the cap.
The body and cap are formed of precious black mother-of-pearl celluloid, the nib is of 18K gold and the pen has a piston filling system.
This very precious limited edition is preserved in an elegant black-painted wooden casket decorated with a die-cast medallion executed by the same artist.
