On March 20,1992, Omas officially presented the Europa fountain pen in the Auditorium of the International Press Centre in Brussels. This special pen was authorized by the General Secretary of the Commission of European Communities.
The Omas Europa has great symbolic significance because the first 12 pens were presented to the Heads of State who signed the Maastricht Economical Treaty. Members of the press, the RAI, VIPs, as well as others, were in attendance to record the presentation of the historic pen.
The Omas Europa is a faceted pen composed of blue vegetal resin and decorated with golden accents and a 2 tone 18kt nib.
Please Note: The pen is unused and vault kept, complete with display case, paperwork and outer box. The outer box is peeling in certain areas due to its age. The accents have signs of brush marks and patina.
