The Platinum Jubilee pen has been designed by Retro 51, especially for Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II's, Platinum Jubilee Celebration. This special limited-edition release of 700 rollerballs are sold exclusively by the UK Dealers: Cult Pens, Mann Inc. and Pure Pens.

The pen design is based on the dress worn by Queen Elizabeth II, at the State Opening of Parliament on 21st April 1966, which was also the Queens 40th birthday. This dress was trimmed with duchess satin and encrusted with diamanté which you can see is reflected in the barrel of the Jubilee pen, acid etched with a drop pearl effect, and painted in a special pearlescent finish.

It has an extra special platinum trim which gives a delicately warm accent to the pen with the official Platinum Jubilee 2022 emblem on the top disc, finishing off the pen beautifully. The emblem has its own meaning, designed by Edward Roberts, 19.

The continuous line of the crown represents the continuing reign of the Queen, while the purple background and platinum finishes are a nod to the Robe of Estate the Queen wore while leaving Westminster Abbey after her Coronation Ceremony.
