This strikingly beautiful pen and collectors item was created to commemorate the return of Hong Kong to Chinese sovereignty. Designed by world-famous architect Tao Ho, who also created Hong Kong's new flag, a limited edition of 1997 numbered pieces were produced. The Chinese characters, carved out of the solid brass body, are gold-plated. Their message is "One country, two systems". The spaces between characters are filled in by hand with genuine Chinese lacquer.
