The Colosseum, constructed in the year 70 after the birth of Christ, has remained a symbol of one of the most important deeds of old Roman engineering and has inspired Delta craftsmen to develop their own creation, the Colosseum Diamond and Gold Celebration Limited Edition Fountain Pen.
Hand-turned from a solid bar of special yellow resin, each pen is individually engraved with Delta’s Trademark and Limited Edition progressive numbering.
Positioned in the top of the cap, in a central ring of solid 18k gold, is a .01 carat extra–pure diamond.
This fine creation features a Medium 18k solid gold, platinum plate mask nib, embellished with XVI century Celtic décor – and an 18k gold vermeil clip equipped with a small rolling wheel to facilitate the sliding in and out of the breast pocket. A central ring, hand carved in 18k solid gold, features ivy shaped engravings.
As the pinnacle of the Delta Limited Editions, this fountain pen features very old, rare, and intriguing technology - the lateral lever filling system, a system introduced in the early 1900s. Very easy to use, this lever is engraved with the year of production.
This ultra original Colosseum pen comes in a beautiful black wooden presentation case with a special information booklet, a bottle of matching golden yellow ink with a brushed-gold finished cap, and a bound notebook with hand-made paper that has a red wax seal with the inscription "Artigioni della Scrittura Delta."
