In 1991, Stipula presented "Etruria," a fountain pen in cellulose acetate named for the ancient land in which it was created. The ancient Etruscans settled these lands, now known as Tuscany, where they practiced their sophisticated metal casting techniques, creating objects that are the essence of craft excellence.
Today, ten years later, Stipula is proud to present the special Tenth Anniversary edition of the "Etruria" pen. The pen is turned from nut-colored celluloid rippled with infinite tones of brown with mother-of-pearl highlights.
Accents are cast in sterling silver by the cire-perdue method and highlighted with rings of gold. The pen is equipped with an original convertible filling system that permits using Stipula's classical high-capacity pistonfiller or a simple ink cartridge.
The special Tenth Anniversary edition of "Etruria" is produced in a limited series of 991 singly numbered fountain pens. The first 391 of these will be paired with a matching roller ball pen to create a set that will be extremely rare and highly collectable.
Please look over the images carefully as they are of the actual product for sale.
The pen is brand new and unused, it does not have the ink bottle and the hinge on the box is loose. The accents have a light patina.
