The Taccia Miyabi Maki-e Collection builds on our decades of craftsmanship to present our most significant writing instrument yet Out of pure natural ebonite, we molded a body familiar in shape and significant in size.
Each instrument was then fully crafted, maki-e inlaid, and urushi sealed all by an artist's hand, using hand-cut precious material and classic maki-e techniques - Raden and Rankaku - to conjure images of nature, history, and space.
The Taccia Miyabi Maki-e LE Collection is fitted with an airtight cushion seal cap that smooths both usage and ink flow. And each Miyabi Maki-e LE is finished off with our Japanese 18-karat gold nibs! This design is limited to 100 pieces worldwide, featuring a sleek black urushi background with gold dust decorations. The Mount Fuji on the barrel is made with blue abalone shell and white quail egg shell.
